Principal's Message 3-21-2025
Dear North Hills School Community:
We had a busy, fun, and exciting week here at North Hills. This past Wednesday night, we hosted our Incoming 6th Grade Parent/Guardian Orientation. The evening was a great way to meet new families and share information about North Hills. Click HERE to access the slideshow from the meeting. If you missed the orientation, we are offering another opportunity to meet with North Hills administration on Thursday, April 3 at 7:00 p.m. Please do not hesitate to contact the main office with any questions you may have as we begin to plan and think about the next school year. The current fifth graders (our incoming sixth-grade students) will be given a similar experience that is student-centered during the district Move-Up Day (May 23).
A reminder that after our Spring Break, the PSAT date for eighth-grade students is Wednesday, April 9. At our building, only eighth-grade students are in session that day, and they will be dismissed at approximately 11:15 a.m. Later in the day on April 9, we will be hosting virtual spring conferences from 3:45-6:45 p.m. Sign-ups for our virtual April 9th conferences will be available shortly after spring break. Additionally, please note that the M-STEP testing window for all grades is from April 14 through May 16. We ask that families try to avoid scheduling appointments during that window.
Our final sports season begins after Spring Break. See the article below for more details. Many spring sports will start on Tuesday, April 1, with tryouts and practices.
As we head into Spring Break, I hope that everyone can take a moment or two to relax with their families over the next week. When you are able, please take time to check out a number of important and interesting building and district articles in this week's e-blast.
REMINDER: After Spring Break, classes will resume on Tuesday, April 1. Students will return on Tuesday, April 1, to a "B DAY" schedule.
