Physical Education Rollerblading Unit Permission Slip and Fee Information (Beginning Feb. 9)

Physical Education Rollerblading Unit Permission Slip and Fee Information (Beginning Feb. 9)

Greetings! Our upcoming rollerblading unit in PE is quickly approaching. Beginning on February 9th, all 6th through 8th grade students in 2nd semester Physical Education classes will be participating in an in-house skating program.  Skating provides a variety of benefits, which include balance, coordination, motor skills, and a top-rated cardio-respiratory workout.  Students will also learn basic skating skills such as starting, stopping, forward skating, cornering, and a number of safety tips for being a smart skater.

The fee for this unit will be $14 for the in-line skates for each student.  The fee includes delivery and pick-up of the equipment as well as use of the skates for 5 days of skating during P.E. class.  Students will also be required to wear wrist guards and a helmet which will also be provided. Students are encouraged to bring their own helmet from home, but may not bring in their own skates. Knee pads and elbow pads will also be provided for those who choose to wear them.

This year we are having families use the ParentPortal/ParentConnection for submitting the $14 fee. We will NOT be accepting checks or other forms of payment so please do NOT send in money with your child.

Here is the link for directions on how to make payments this way: How to make payments using ParentConnection

We are hoping to have everything submitted by February 9th. Please pay your fee online and turn in the permission slip, which has been distributed to students or can be found here: Permission Slip

Thank you for your support.
